The world premiere of the first biographical documentary on the life of Gian Paolo Barbieri will take place on Thursday 16 June 2022 at BIOGRAFILM FESTIVAL in Bologna.

The fashion covers the pivotal moments of Barbieri’s life through his shots and memories tracing the Artist’s career with testimonies and interviews of supermodels, stylists, art collectors, gallery owners and protagonists of the fashion system starting from his very beginning in Roma – where he quickly made his first steps into the world of film and theatre – to his consecration in 2018 when he received the prestigious Lucie Awards in New York for his ‘Outstanding Achievement in Fashion’.

Gian Paolo Barbieri shot advertising campaigns for major international fashion brands like Valentino, Versace, Ferrè, Armani, Bulgari, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, Vivienne Westwood and many others with whom he interpreted their most famous creations of the 80s whilst simultaneously also conquering Made in Italy and Italian ready-to-wear fashion.
