A flower can convey a myriad of things.

It can be used to tell somebody you love them, say thank you, or simply delight others or yourself.

Grasping its complex aesthetics, however, is a different matter.

The photographer Gian Paolo Barbieri is well-known for his theatrical portraits of film stars, supermodels, and other personalities as well as his many surveys documenting tropical places including their naturalistic environment.

These extraordinary flower photographs have been exhibited at Elena Miro’s concept store in Piazza della Scala, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the brand.
