MANIfESTO Troilo at Palazzo Riso

March 18 – May 22, 2016

Palazzo Belmonte Riso
Museo d’Arte Contemporanea della Sicilia

Paolo Troilo

A few years later his last exhibition in Italy, the artist Paolo Troilo returns to present his works in a solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Sicily, Palazzo Belmonte Riso.

The title of the exhibition is MANlfESTO, because the manifesto is the most powerful media ever used to spread ideals, and it contains the word “mani” (hands), the verb “to manifest” and finally to pay tribute to Palermo which will be the European capital of contemporary art in 2018 as the venue for Manifesto {the most important European contemporary art biennale).

Troilo, unique for its figurative works obtained through the technique of painting with his fingers, will bring together some of the most significant works of its first ten years of his artistic career accompanied by the prestigious curator Bruno Cora.
It is the first museum exhibition of the young artist who had already exhibited his works in public locations in Rome (Palazzo delle 5 Lune) and in Florence (Palazzo Antinori).

The show will end with a closing event in which will be presented the book of the exhibition.
